Neymar is lagging behind most of his team mates in the Castrol performance ranking used by FIFA, as Spain’s Sergio Ramos currently leads the way in the statistical ranking system.

Coming in at a lowly seventeenth place in the list, Neymar is behind team mates such as Luiz Gustavo and Dani Alves, despite being voted as man of the match for Brazil in all three games so far.

Brazil striker Fred is ranked just behind Ramos in second place, with Marcelo, David Luiz, and Thiago Silva also featuring in the top ten.

The top ten players and their FIFA Castol Index score is as follows:
